What we're watching.

Before The Data monitors every artist on the roster 24/7. When something meaningful moves, you get an alert. Here's what counts as meaningful.

Streaming Spike Spotify streams
Spotify stream velocity accelerating past baseline. Thresholds scale with artist size. A growing emerging artist and an established one both qualify.
Follower Spike TikTok or Instagram
Daily follower gains cross a meaningful threshold. Works both for established-pattern acceleration and for new artists crossing a first milestone.
Cross-Platform Spike Highest signal
Streams AND followers both move within the same 3-day window. When two platforms agree, it is rarely noise.
UGC Accelerating Per song
This week's UGC clips on a song are multiples of last week's. Acceleration matters more than raw volume.
Small Artist Breakout Under 50K followers
Any primary metric (listeners, followers, streams) triples in 7 days for a small artist. This is where the A&R window is widest.
How you receive them
Every alert respects your per-artist preference (Email / Profile / Off). Set it on the artist's profile or in Settings. You will never get more than 5 alert emails in a day. Additional alerts roll into a digest.
