La Reezy is a 20-something rapper, songwriter, and producer out of New Orleans who has been accumulating serious cosigns from established figures in the rap world over the past couple of years. "HARDHEAD" was produced by Khayree Sanders and released as part of his LAREEZYANA SHAKEDOWN project in September 2025. It is exactly what the title promises: stubborn, confident, New Orleans through every bar. New Orleans has always had its own relationship to rap that does not track perfectly with what is happening in Houston, Atlanta, or New York. The bounce tradition, the brass band DNA, the particular energy of a city that rebuilt itself: all of it shows up in how artists from there approach the music. La Reezy carries that regional identity without making it the whole story. He is from the city, not a tourist in it. He is self-made and operates with the focus of someone who has been building toward this moment for a while. "HARDHEAD" is a strong argument for why people should be paying attention.
