Mk.gee's entire project exists in its own frequency and "Are You Looking Up" is no different. The guitar work is the center of gravity here: processed, wobbly, operating somewhere between bedroom recording and deliberate studio texture. His vocal floats over it without ever quite landing, which is precisely the point. One of the more singular sounds in indie-pop right now.
