Columbus, Ohio duo Sports deal in the kind of fizzy, self-aware indie pop that doesn't take itself too seriously while still landing the emotional points. "Drama King" runs on a jangly guitar-forward production with synth accents and a hook sharp enough to embed itself after a single pass. The writing addresses the familiar territory of a high-maintenance relationship from a place of fond exasperation rather than grievance. Right up your alley if Car Seat Headrest's more melodic moments or Hippo Campus's brightness is in your rotation.
