Vory has one of the most emotionally direct voices in contemporary R&B, and 'Made Me This Way' is him at his most unguarded. The production is sparse, built to hold the vocal rather than compete with it. Lyrically it reads like a conversation you'd only have with yourself. The Kansas City singer deserves a much bigger audience.
