PLATFORMS

Three platforms. That is it.

We are mostly following new acts. This is where the signal is first.

The thinking

Fewer platforms. Better signal.

Most music data tools track a long list of platforms. Spotify, Apple, Amazon, YouTube, Deezer, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, Pandora, TIDAL, the works. The pitch is "comprehensive." The reality is that for the artists we care about, the artists who have not broken yet, the signal lives on three platforms. Tracking the rest adds noise, not insight.

What we track

The three that matter.

01
Spotify
Daily streams on the top song, monthly listeners at the artist level. The streaming proof that confirms what social already showed.
02
TikTok
UGC video counts on every artist’s top 10 songs, daily. Where new artists break first, almost without exception, in 2026.
03
Instagram
Reel and audio video counts on every artist’s top 10 songs, daily. The second wave after a TikTok break.
What we don’t

And why we don't track the rest.

Apple Music, YouTube, Amazon, the long tail of streamers, they confirm a break that already happened. By the time a song is climbing on those platforms, the signal we care about has already fired. Tracking them gives a fuller picture. It does not give an earlier one. We are optimized for early.
